SLEDDING!!!

Well this was a first for us...I've never taken Melissa sledding before and we went with the midsingles single parent group. What fun we had!!

We sledded, had a campfire and roasted or in Melissa's words "fired" starbursts, laffy taffy, licorice and hot dogs. We had lots of fun and really enjoyed the company we were in...Melissa is a daredevil through and through!! She had everyone laughing all day with her "wisdom"...It was a great day!

What a nice day

Not long ago as I was coming home from work, it was the first really nice after a long string of dreary days. It was quiet outside, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the sun was shining. As I walked up the steps, I heard a woodpecker start pecking at some wood, I looked up and it was right above my head. No one was home, so I quietly moved into the house, grabbed my camera and quietly went back outside hoping it was still there. It was my lucky day! I spent some time taking pictures, enjoying the weather, and enjoying the quiet...Some days are just so peaceful when you can take time to do things you love by yourself. It brought me such peace that day.
