Family fun time right? Why didn't I know about this place last year? So Lake Lowell park where you can swim...for free...is only 6 minutes away from our house. Hooray for free family time and swimming to boot! So fun! It was Elly's first time dipping her feet in water other than a bath. She was not a fan this time. She cried...I think it was a bit too cold for her, but perfect for everyone else. I really enjoyed just sitting watching the kids swim while Tony, Audrey, and I sat in the shade and just enjoyed being outside. We totally need to do this more often!!

Elizabeth is 5 months!!
Miss Elly bug is 5 months old...and she is a little bug. I love her to pieces. She has a funny little personality and I love to wake up every morning to her smiley face.
Instead of a thumbsucker like Melissa, Elly is a toesucker. She LOVES to play with her toes and her feet. She rolls up in a little ball and plays with them all the time. She prefers her toes over any toy I give her.
She isn't a fan of being on her belly and really has no interest in rolling over yet.
She loves to yell at people...all the time. She is quite talkative.
She will fall asleep just about anywhere. She puts herself to sleep as long as she has her binky.
The back of her head looks like a smiley face or a bowling ball...either one.
She got to try rice and bananas this month. She likes them mixed.
She loves to play with her siblings.
She really loves her daddy, she always stares at him hoping he will look at her and gives him really big smiles.
She is a daddy's girl.
She holds her bottle with her hands and her feet like a monkey.
She makes funny faces...and loves to stick her fingers in her mouth when she can't get to her toes.
She gets burned even sitting in the shade...she must have my skin tone...I got burned too.
She loves to cuddle.
She likes to swing.
She likes to go out and do things with the family.
Some of her expressions look just like her dad. Aren't they both so cute!! She has also started to talk with the binky in her mouth, it makes some really funny sounds when she does it. She laughs at the funniest things. She gets really giggly right before she goes to sleep and it doesn't take much to make her laugh when she's tired.

Fun day with the Green's
What a fun day! David and Stephanie Green took our family to the Discovery Center and all of us had a blast. The geese and ducks were out with their babies and we loved them and just playing with all the stuff at the Discover Center was just a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed themselves and so did I. We had a picnic at the park and took a walk along the outside of the zoo hoping to get a glimpse of some of the animals. Hopefully one of these days we will make it to the inside of the zoo with all of the kids. That would be fun. We are so grateful to the Greens for inviting us to have such a fun day with them. Melissa came home with us afterward so we went to Grandpa and Grandma Olsen's house and had fun there too...and brought Madisyn home with us. She stayed with us for a couple of days so that was fun too. So far this summer is bringing lots of fun days to enjoy. I am loving it! I love sitting outside at the park with the kids during summer lunches too. So fun. I love it. We have good chats and enjoy the weather. I'm so loving that I feel so much better this summer and am not having morning sickness like last year. I am getting great enjoyment out of my garden and being outside this year because I'm not pregnant and miserable like last year. I'm loving this!!

1st week of summer with the kids
So for fun this week we packed up and headed for a park...our original plan was to go to Lake Lowell for a picnic. We packed stuff up to grill hamburgers and I made potato salad. We got to Lake Lowell and realized that they didn't have grills...oops. So we headed off to the park at Marsing by the Snake River. I suggested it hoping it would work out. Thankfully they did have grills, so we were getting ready to start the coals and we forgot matches...oops again. So we asked a family that was grilling nearby and they let us borrow a lighter. Yay...an outing was actually working out to our favor. We had a great time eating our grilled burgers and just enjoying the great weather. Elly must have liked it because we laid her on a blanket and she was very giggly and really enjoyed herself. We headed home, built a fire and roasted monster sized marshmallows. It was very fun...it didn't feel quite complete to me though...Melissa was still at the Green's house and I missed her very much. I was sad that she wasn't there to enjoy it with us.
